PAST SIMPLE X PAST CONTINUOUS.
Remember( Lembrando):
PAST SIMPLE...we use for a completed action.( Usado para descrever uma ação encerrada, no passado)
*I studied very hard, for the exam.
* Did you see the news, yesterday?
PAST CONTINUOUS... we use to describe an action in progress, in the past.( Usado para descrever uma ação em progresso...no passado)
* She was writing a book.
* They were playing baseball.
Exercise 1. Write all the PAST SIMPLE and PAST CONTINUOUS sentences that you find, from the text above. ( Escreva todas as frases que identificar, no PAST SIMPLE, PAST CONTINUOUS do texto acima.
Exercise 2. Make a list of all the verbs that you identify. (Faça uma lista com todos os verbos em inglês, que você identificou?)
Exercise.3. Now, make up your own PAST SIMPLE/CONTINUOUS sentences with the verbs that you have found. ( Agora, monte suas próprias frases em inglês, com os verbos encontrados).
