MADAGASCAR- dvd ACTIVITY.

Hello, how are you???

Today is Friday and I am sure most of the people are feeling very good with the weekend arriving!
One of the things that I love to do, and almost everybody is watching movies/cartoons during the weekend, eating lots of popcorn, drinking soda,....ohhh,lots and lots of JUNK FOOD.
Coming back to Watching movies, I did an activity with my English students a few weeks ago and they really enjoyed it: Madagascar...it is very funny and it is an excellent LISTENING activity for you to do by yourself or if you are a teacher, with your students.

Just pass the very first scene of the movie Madagascar 1 ,until they finish their first dialogue.
While you are watching try to complete the blank spaces(there is no options) with the words that you understand.
Tip: try as many times as you can/want...because the important thing is the LISTENING.

And as you know, I will only give you the answer if you send me an e-mail,ok.

TALKING FOR REAL!!!( Conversando de Verdade)

Li uma reportagem recentemente que diz a respeito da Conversação "real" de quando se esta no exterior, e não se entende nada do que os nativos estão dizendo.

Não é que as pessoas não aprendem corretamente a se comunicar em inglês...mas é que os materiais didaticos( que existem milhares e maravilhosos) são bastante FORMAIS!!!
A linguagem ensinada claro que tem que ser formal e Correta, afinal...ensinar é pelo menos tentar passar o certo, o correto!

A lingua Inglesa, é uma lingua( como dentre outras) em movimento, em transformação, em constante mudança, então novas expressões coloquiais, girias, etc.. surgem dia a dia, através da boca de quem?...dos falantes nativos.

Então ai se da a importância, de participar de programas de Intercâmbio Cultural, leituras de periódicos, jornais estrangeiros, assistir a filmes estrangeiros, seriados, e até ouvir musica em inglês!!! Por que o que vai se ouvir é o 'Real Talk'( a verdadeira fala/ a verdadeira conversa).

Segue alguns exemplos tradicionais do que sempre ouvimos por ai:

Forma "correta"- GOING TO( indica futuro) Ex: I am going to go to Disney, next month.
Forma que se ouve: I am gonna go to Disney, next month.

Forma "correta"- HAVE GOT TO( expressa obrigação/dever) Ex: I have got to study hard for my exam.
Forma que se ouve: I gotta study hard for my exam.
ou... I hafta study hard for my exam.

Forma "correta"- WANT TO( expressa querer/desejo) Ex: She wants to have a baby girl.
Forma que se ouve: She wanna have a baby girl.
